Diana Martin is the heart and visionary behind our nonprofit. With deep roots in the communities we serve, Diana has dedicated the past 45 years to living and engaging with the people and landscapes that define this area. Her firsthand experience with the challenges and triumphs of these communities has fueled her passion for making a meaningful impact through her work.

As Founder and Executive Director, Diana’s responsibilities include:

• Strategic Leadership: Guiding the overall vision, mission, and strategy of the organization to ensure our programs effectively address community needs.

• Program Development: Designing and implementing programs that directly support the individuals and families we serve, drawing on her personal knowledge of local challenges.

• Community Outreach: Establishing and nurturing relationships with local leaders, partners, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and maximize our reach.

• Resource Development: Leading fundraising initiatives, grant applications, and donor relations to secure the resources necessary for sustaining our mission.

• Team Mentorship: Inspiring and supporting staff and volunteers, ensuring they have the guidance and tools to succeed in their roles.​

 

In addition to her role at the nonprofit, Diana co-owns a ranch in Modoc County. This connection to the land and community reflects her commitment not only to helping people but also to preserving and honoring the environment that sustains her.

Chairperson - Director

Kimberly Moody brings over 40 years of community connection and dedication to her role as Director and Chairperson. With a kind, empathetic, and compassionate heart, Kim has been a guiding force within the organization, channeling her personal experiences of overcoming adversity into her commitment to our mission. Her ability to connect deeply with those we serve stems from a lifetime of understanding the challenges they face.

As Director and Secretary, Rhonda’s responsibilities include:

• Board Coordination: Working closely with other board members to coordinate meetings, manage agendas, and document decisions, helping to drive the strategic direction of our nonprofit.

Rhonda’s experience managing a family-owned local business has equipped her with invaluable skills that she brings to her role as Secretary. As a multigenerational resident of the communities we serve, Leann’s understanding and commitment to our mission run deep. Known for her heart of gold, Leann’s loving and empathetic nature is felt by all who have the pleasure of working with her, making her an invaluable asset to our nonprofit and a cherished presence in the community.

Leann’s many years of bookkeeping experience bring structure and transparency to our financial practices. Her attention to detail and diligent approach ensure that every financial record is meticulously maintained, allowing our organization to operate with integrity and accountability. Her role goes beyond numbers, however; Leann’s work is grounded in her genuine care for our mission and her belief in the positive change we’re creating together.

In her role as Treasurer and an Officer, Leann’s responsibilities include:

• Financial Management: Overseeing all aspects of bookkeeping, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring accurate records for every transaction. Her careful management helps sustain our organization’s stability and transparency.

• Strategic Planning Support: Contributing insights during board discussions, helping to guide the strategic direction of our programs and operations with her keen understanding of our community’s needs.

• Community Building: Engaging with community members, partners, and other stakeholders to foster relationships that strengthen our reach and impact, while offering her warm, empathetic presence.

 

Outside of her work within the nonprofit, Leann is a dedicated farm owner, a role that reflects her lifelong connection to the land and her love for animals. Her farm embodies her nurturing spirit, providing her a peaceful space to connect with nature and honor her spiritual beliefs. Leann is also a spiritual leader, drawing on her faith to inspire and uplift those around her. Her dedication to her family, spirituality, and the community is central to who she is and enriches her contributions to our organization.

Outreach Coordinator

Cody Lockhart brings a deep-rooted connection to our community, with multigenerational ties that enrich his understanding of the challenges we address. Having personally overcome adversities similar to those our nonprofit tackles, Cody offers invaluable empathy and insight to our mission.

In his role as Outreach Coordinator, Cody is responsible for:

• Community Engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with local organizations, and community members to foster collaboration and support.

• Program Development: Assisting in the creation and implementation of initiatives that directly address the needs of our community.

• Volunteer Coordination: Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to ensure effective program delivery.

• Event Planning: Organizing community events and workshops that promote our mission and services.

 

Beyond his dedication to our nonprofit, Cody is committed to his family and serves as a key operator at Sierra Pacific Industries. In this role, he contributes to the production of electricity through the company's cogeneration facilities, which utilize wood byproducts to generate power. His personal experiences, professional skills, and unwavering commitment to both his family and community make him an invaluable asset to our organization.

Program Coordinator

Blake McKellar joins our team as Program Coordinator, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep personal commitment to our mission. Having worked in a mental health center and actively engaged in her own healing journey through faith-based counseling, Blake embodies the values of self-belief, self-respect, and self-worth. Her dedication to these principles not only shapes her life but also serves as an inspiring example to her children and those who know her. Blake’s resilience and strength are a testament to her belief in the power of personal growth and healing.

As Program Coordinator, Blake’s responsibilities include:

• Program Development: Assisting in the design and implementation of community-based programs that address the needs of those we serve, drawing on her unique background in mental health.

• Community Support: Providing resources, guidance, and support to program participants, encouraging their journey to well-being and personal growth.

• Evaluation and Improvement: Regularly assessing program effectiveness, gathering feedback, and identifying areas for improvement to ensure the best possible impact for our participants.

 

Beyond her role in our nonprofit, Blake brings joy and confidence to others through her work as a dental assistant, where she creates beautiful, healthy smiles. She is also committed to furthering her education, exemplifying a passion for growth and excellence.
